Commissioner Dan Green

I am honored that the citizens of Kootenai County have chosen me to serve as one of their county commissioners. Thank you. I'd like to let you know a little more about who Dan Green is - I have been blessed and happily married to Linda for 25 years. We are very proud parents of our two sons, Ryan and Brett. In 1991 our family moved to Kootenai County and we were very pleased with the education our sons received in the Kootenai County public school system. Currently both boys are attending college. Since 1977 I have worked in the lumber industry. While working, I attended California State University, Fullerton and received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. In 1995 I started my own company and retired in 2008. Locally, I was appointed to the Kootenai County Planning & Zoning Commission in 2003. I served on P & Z from 2003 through 2010; Six of those years I served as Chairman of the Board. I also currently serve on the board of directors for CDA Homes. (CDA Homes is a non-profit, Christian based corporation that provides several living options for our seniors.)

The challenges that our county faces revolve around developing and maintaining a healthy economy and protecting the natural resources we all enjoy. My goal as a county commissioner is to make this county an even better place to live than it already is. My family and I are blessed to be able to live here and I am proud to have the opportunity to serve all of you.
