"I see county leadership as public service combined with fiscal responsibility and the art of negotiation working to achieve efficient,
successful outcomes." ~Jai Nelson
I'm grateful and honored to represent and serve the citizens of Kootenai County. I'm proud of Kootenai County, its residents and what we've achieved
during the past several decades.
More than at any other time in our history, Kootenai County is on the move and growing strong. I'm looking forward to the challenges ahead.
I'm committed to positioning Kootenai County as a leader in job growth, opportunities and advancement.
I pledged no property tax based budget increases for a two year period this goal was achieved-for both years. Moreover, being fiscally responsible
is a priority-a $1.4 million savings to the county was accomplished in 2011 and this is an annual savings.
Governing today has become more challenging than ever. With fewer resources and ever increasing demands, the county needs strong policies and
implementation strategies to effectively and efficiently control operational costs.
It takes a willingness to fight the status quo. It takes courageous leadership to change a compass heading. I've listened, valued your voice
and have responded to what's important to you. Kootenai County needs decisive leadership in order to prosper and advance and I'm committed
to providing that leadership.
It's clear that in north Idaho we feel differently. As a lifetime resident of Kootenai County, I will continue to represent your ideals and values.
I appreciate hearing from you. Please contact me directly at 446-1604 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Additionally, you can contact all three
commissioners at email@example.com. As always, I'm grateful for your support.
I hope you share in the excitement as we celebrate Kootenai County's Sesquicentennial in 2014 and as we continue to move forward.
All the best,
