Due to current flood conditions and ice damage at many public boating facilities on area lakes and rivers, the following popular County facilities are either not accessible or have been damaged and are closed until we can complete repairs or flood waters recede.
We will provide updates as changes occur.

THE RV DUMP ON DALTON AVE IS STILL OPEN BUT WATER HAS BEEN SHUT OFF FOR THE WINTER.
The Department of Parks and Waterways is responsible for the management, development
and maintenance of park and marine facilities owned by Kootenai County and our mission is clear:
"Provide recreational users of our parks and waterways safe, clean and suitable facilities, which best meet
their needs in the most cost-effective way possible."
Kootenai County is the largest boating community in the State of Idaho with nearly 20,000 registered
boaters and just over 44,000 navigable acres for boaters to enjoy.

19 BOAT LAUNCHES
5 MARINE VESSEL PUMP-OUTS
165 DOCK SECTIONS, AT 23 DIFFERENT LOCATIONS, TOTALING 51,496 SQUARE FEET
1 RV DUMP STATION
14 PUBLIC RESTROOMS, OF WHICH 2 ARE FLOATING RESTROOM BUILDINGS
19 PATONS (NAVIGATIONAL LIGHTS AND MARKERS)
21 REGULATORY BUOYS
9 PUBLIC MOORING BUOYS
