Commercial Use of County Owned Facilities

Kootenai County has implemented a Commercial Use ordinance affecting all public marine facilities owned and/or managed by Kootenai County. This ordinance applies to any commercial operator or private citizen wishing to utilize County marine facilities for purposes other than recreational boating. A copy of Ordinance 402 and Resolution 2012-15 is available for downloading below, in addition to an application for a Commercial Use permit. On February 14, 2012 The Kootenai County Board of Commissioners approved a 50% reduction in Commercial Use Fees for a period of two years.

Fees for commercial use are as follows:

• Advertising: .05/square inch - $10 minimum fee
• Concession: 7-day - $50; 30-day - $150; seasonal - $450
• Vessel demonstration: Annual (in-state) - $100; Annual (out-of-state) - $250
• Vessel repair: Annual (in-state) - $100; Annual (out-of-state) - $250
• Commercial transport: Annual - $25 per lineal foot of moorage required
• Water sports activities: 1-day - $15; 7-day - $25; 30-day - $50; Annual -$100
• Vessel fueling: Annual - $250
• Marine contractors: Annual - $250

3. Fuller's Landing Public Launch - Lake Coeur d'Alene
4. Gould's Landing Public Launch - Lake Coeur d'Alene
5. Greensferry Public Launch - Spokane River
6. Harlow Point Public Launch - Lake Coeur d'Alene
7. Harrison Docks and Public Launch - Lake Coeur d'Alene
8. Hauser Lake Public Launch - Hauser Lake
9. Kidd Island Bay Public Launch - Lake Coeur d'Alene
10. Maiden Rock Public Launch - Spirit Lake
11. Mica Bay Public Launch - Lake Coeur d'Alene
12. Spokane Point Public Launch - Lake Coeur d'Alene
13. Neachen Bay Public Launch - Lake Coeur d'Alene
14. Sunup Bay Public Launch - Lake Coeur d'Alene
15. Turner Point - Lake Coeur d'Alene
16. Upper and Lower Twin Lakes public launches
17. Bell Bay dock - Lake Coeur d'Alene
18. Bronze Bay Public Launch - Spirit Lake
19. Fernan East Public Launch - Fernan Lake
