Kootenai County Seeking Bidders for Transport Hauling Services
NOTICE: Kootenai County is seeking bidders for Transport Hauling Services.
This is the contract for hauling of material from the transfer stations to the landfill.
The Kootenai County Board of Commissioners will receive sealed bids at the Commissioners' Office, Administration Building, 451 Government
Way (third floor), P. O. Box 9000, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83816-9000, for Transport Hauling Services Bid for the Solid Waste Department.
Instructions to Bidders and Bid Submittal Forms are available from the Kootenai County Commissioners' Office.
A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. on February 28, 2017 at the Administration Office of the Kootenai County
Solid Waste Department, 3650 N. Ramsey Road, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders who do not attend the pre-bid
Sealed bids must be received by 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 and must be marked "Sealed Bid - Transport Hauling Services".
Bids received after this time will not be considered.

Kootenai County provides two full service transfer stations for customer convenience. The Coeur d'Alene
station is located at
3650 N. Ramsey Road in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The Post Falls Station is
15580 W. Prairie Avenue in Post Falls, Idaho.
The Transfer Stations are open to the general public and waste hauling companies seven days
a week. The entry gate opens at 8:00 a.m. and closes to the public at 4:55 p.m. every day.
It is requested that all customers be unloaded and out of the facility by 5:00 p.m. each day.
The staffed Rural Collection Sites are open to residential customers seven days a week.
The gates open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 5:00 p.m. every day. These sites are for household
waste only. Large bulky items, tires, and wood must come to the Ramsey Transfer
Station. No commercial waste is accepted at these sites.
All Solid Waste facilities are closed on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day,
Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
The Administration Office for the Solid Waste Department is located at the Ramsey Road facility.
The office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The office is closed from 12:00
to 1:00 for lunch. The business office observes the regular federal holidays.

of contents or loads from blowing, spilling or otherwise escaping. Violation is a misdemeanor subject to
Idaho Code 18-113 or its successor.
