- Registration
You may register or obtain mail-in registration cards at the County Election Department located
at 1808 N. 3rd Street, Coeur d'Alene
or at any City Clerk's Office or DMV. You may also obtain a mail-in registration card by going to idahovotes.gov.
Mail-in forms must be post marked 25 days before an election. The open registration deadline is 24 days before an election.
Election Day registration is permitted at your polling place with proper photo identification and dated proof of residence.
You can also complete the election day registration process if you vote early absentee at the Elections office.
You must be registered before being able to vote in an election. You must re-register if you move or have a name
change.

- Absentee Voting
The County Elections Office is the absentee polling place for Federal, State, County & Local Taxing District Elections.
You may vote in person approximately 3 weeks prior to an election. Absentee voting closes at 5:00 P.M. on the Friday
before an election. You may obtain an Absentee Ballot
by clicking here.
- Vote by Mail
To vote by mail the application for an absentee ballot must be signed by the elector and include the physical address
and mailing address if different. The latest date to request a ballot by mail is 6 days prior to the election at 5:00 P.M.
Absentee requests must be done on an annual basis as they are only good for one calendar year at a time.
