COVID-19 Update: All services are fully operational and available to citizens of Kootenai County.
The Transfer Stations are open seven days a week. The entry gate opens at 8 a.m. and closes to at 4:55 p.m. every day. It is requested that all customers be unloaded and out of the facility by 5 p.m. each day.
Rural Collection Sites
The staffed Rural Collection Sites are open to residential customers seven days a week. The gates open at 8 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. every day. These sites are for household waste only. Large bulky items, tires, and wood must come to either the Ramsey Transfer Station or the Prairie Transfer Station. No commercial waste is accepted at these sites.

Secure Your Load - Covered Loads
Kootenai County Code states that no vehicle shall be driven unless the vehicle is constructed, covered or loaded to prevent the possibility of contents or loads from blowing, spilling or otherwise escaping. Violation is a misdemeanor subject to Idaho Code 18 to 113 or its successor.
