[ARCHIVED] CARLIN BAY DOCK REPLACEMENT PROJECT

Carlin Bay from lake

Carlin Bay Park on Lake Coeur d’Alene serves hundreds of recreational boaters each year and is one of the busy facilities managed by Kootenai County.

As you know, we’ve made significant improvements to the park over the past 15-years which include docks, pilings, gangways, vessel pump-out, vault restroom, seawall replacement, and the purchase of property to expand parking. Our next improvement is the replacement of the public dock system with user-friendly concrete-decked docks and metal mooring cleats. We will also enclose the swim area and expand the amount of dock space for day use moorage.

We need your help!

The Parks and Waterways Department is pursuing an Idaho State Waterways Improvement Fund Grant necessary to fund the replacement of the docks. We are in need of emails or letters of support from boaters that use and appreciate Carlin Bay Park. Your comments will have a big impact on the committee that evaluates grant applications.

Please keep your comments specific to the topic of the docks. We will include your comments in our grant package.

Thank you for taking the time to support this important project that will significantly improve your recreation experience at Carlin Bay Park.
