Members
The Board of Community Guardian has 11 board members and is supported by a Case Manager. Members are appointed by the County Commissioners and serve four year terms.
Purpose
Board of Community Guardian was created to deal with complicated issues of guardianship for those residents of Kootenai County who have no relative or significant other interested in becoming their guardian when they have legally been deemed incompetent. This board functions as the guardian of last resort.
Members are appointed by the County Commissioners and serve 4-year terms.

Governance
The Governing Board shall be the Board of County Commissioners of Kootenai County, Idaho.
